
Jonathan Kagan-Kans joined the Federal Capital Habeas Project as a Staff Attorney in 2022. He previously served as the Paralegal for the Project from 2016-2018. During law school he interned at the Military Commissions Defense Organization, where he worked on the defense team in a Guantanamo Bay detainee’s war crimes trial, and served as a student attorney at the Michigan Innocence Clinic and the Criminal Appellate Practice Clinic. Jonathan received his B.A. from Carleton College and his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School.
