Elizabeth Luck

Elizabeth Luck, a Senior Attorney with the Federal Capital Habeas Project, is located in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She joined the Project in 2017 and has almost 30 years of legal, administrative and management experience in the federal public defender program, including 13 years with the Administrative Office of the US Courts' Defender Services office serving as a staff attorney, budget chief and special assistant to the Deputy Chief, and 12 years with the Federal Public Defender office in Raleigh, North Carolina. Elizabeth began her legal career as a staff attorney in the Juvenile Rights Division of the Legal Aid Society in New York. She received her law degree from the University of North Carolina School of Law and completed her undergraduate work at the University of Maryland in College Park.
